Chicago in Winter

Lake Michigan in Chicago is beautiful all year round. It draws a lot of locals and tourists to its windy shores. Last week, I took some photos of the lake as it is in Winter. Very big, grey, and cold. Reminiscent of John Masefield’s “…flung spray and the blown spume and the seagulls crying.” It calls to those that love the “Windy day with the white clouds flying.” Chicago winters are not for everyone. They are harsh and severe. They are cold and for those who love it there is “a grey dawn breaking.” I love it.
